Nobby G0VJG informs me that his plans are well underway for his next Dxpedition to FW (Wallis & Futuna Islands) in early 2019.

He will operate from Wallis Island (IOTA OC-054) using a small Amplifier and a Beam antenna mostly on the higher bands. His emphasis will be on Europe dependent on band conditions using SSB and FT8.

There is also possibility of a short side trip to Futuna Island (IOTA OC-118), this to be confirmed later and also Fiji (IOTA OC-016) may also be included to the trip

Flights have been booked and Callsign has been requested, QRZ.Com and further updates to follow in the coming months.

NEWS UPDATE - Nobby will be active from Fiji during May 3-5, 2019 and again between May 20-22. This activity is before/after his Wallis & Futuna expedition (details below).

Nobby, G0VJG will be active as FW/G0VJG from Wallis Island (OC-054) on 6-20 May. He will operate SSB and FT8 on various bands. Before (3-5 May) and after (20-22 May) the FW operation he will be QRV as 3D2AS from Fiji. QSLs via M0OXO's OQRS. [TNX NG3K]

Update from Nobby Styles G0VJG to remind us that his plans are going well for his trip to 3D2 and FW in early May 2019.

He expects to be qrv as 3D2AS from 3rd May 2019 for 5 days. He will then move to Wallis and Futuna as FW/G0VJG on or around the 8th May and be qrv there for 14 days. He will operate from Wallis Island (IOTA OC-054) with the possibility of a short side trip to (the more rare) Futuna Island (IOTA OC-118).

Please be aware dates may change according to local conditions..

He will be using a FT857, Folding Hexbeam and operating on 6/10/12/15/17/20/30/40 & 60m (tbc) with a small Amplifier on SSB and has been working hard behind the scenes getting au fait with FT8 F & H Modes. He is pleased with progress.
