Rafik Dandji, F5CQ (ex F6EUX) passed away in his sleep during the night between 18 and 19 April. Born in Egypt in 1950, he and his family moved first to Lebanon and finally, in 1963, to France. He embraced the military career with the French Marine corps, and during his missions abroad he operated from Djibouti as FL8RD (1975-76) & J28EO (1986-88), Martinique as FM7BO (1978-80), Kerguelen as FT8XA (1984-85) & FT5XA (1989-90) and Mayotte as FH5CQ (1994-96), as well as from Germany (DA1HU) and England (M0VXA). He was an accomplished all-mode DXer with 334/339 (current/total) in the Mixed DXCC Honor Roll Standings, and 2719 DXCC Challenge points. [TNX F5NQL]
