The 8th IARU Region 1 HST Championship takes place in Bar, Montenegro 12-16 September 2014, organised by a team from from SRCG under leadership of their Chairman Dragan Bobicic, 4O4DB. Although it was their first time to host such big event, they were perfect in all aspects.

Seventy-nine sportsmen from fourteen IARU Region 1 societies (Denmark for the first time!) competed in nine categories, according to their age and sex. They had to demonstrate their abilities in four tests – Reception, Transmission, Call sign Receiving and Morse Runner.

The traditional social event at the end of the competition, as well as the picturesque hosting city Bar, at the Adriatic Sea coast, will be remembered forever.

The HST Working Group has decided that the 2015 World Championship to be organised in Skopje, Macedonia.
