ICOM unveiled IC-7300 at Tokyo Ham Fair 2015


According to the engineer at the presentation, ICOM will start shipping IC-7300 by the end of 2015. The target price is under 150,000 JPY. I asked the engineer two questions:
1) What FPGA are you using? Xilinx or Altera?
2) What is the A/D converter and what is its sampling frequency?
The answers were:
1) Cannot tell.
2) ICOM is still investigating a couple of candidates including Analog Devices, TI, and Linear Technology. The sampling frequency is 124MHz.
